- 2010 marks Harvick’s 12th NASCAR Nationwide Series season and the third driving exclusively for Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) in the Nationwide Series.
- Harvick was named the NASCAR Nationwide Series Driver of the Decade in 2009 having won Series titles in 2001 and 2006 as well as the Raybestos Rookie of the Year title in 2000. Harvick led all NASCAR Nationwide drivers with 34 wins during the decade. He was also won the IROC championship in 2002 and in 2003 he became the first driver to win the Indy Brickyard 400 from the pole position.
